You can now scan USPS and FedEx label barcodes directly into the search box on the
Returns page
. ShipHero extracts the tracking number and automatically adjusts the date range when needed to show the matching return.
🏷️ Scan the carrier label
Carrier barcodes often contain more than the tracking number, which previously prevented Returns search from finding a match.
Returns search now supports:
  • USPS:
    Barcodes containing the
    420
prefix and destination ZIP or ZIP+4.
  • FedEx:
    34-digit barcodes starting with
    96
, using the last 12 digits as the tracking number.
📅 Find older returns automatically
A return may be created weeks before the package reaches your warehouse. The default 30-day date range could hide it.
When a tracking number matches a return created within the last six months, ShipHero moves the
Start Date
back as needed. A short message confirms the adjustment.
